2015 China Trademark Festival Ceremoniously Kicks Off

On the afternoon of October 17, 2015, the 2015 China Trademark Festival (hereinafter referred to as the “CTF 2015”), sponsored by China Trademark Association, ceremoniously kicked off in the coastal city of Haikou. Nearly 1,000 officials and representatives from the industry and other famous businesses attended CTF 2015, including Zhou Tienong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress; Liu Junchen, Vice Director of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce; Liu Fan, President of China Trademark Association; Sun Xinyang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Hainan Province and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Haikou City; Li Guoliang, Deputy Governor of Hainan Province; Chen Kai, Director of the Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau of Hainan Province; Ni Qiang, Mayor of the Municipal Government of Haikou City; David Muls, Senior Director of the Madrid Registry at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); officials, representatives, and experts from relevant Chinese ministries and some national and regional trademark authorities in China and from famous businesses.

 

As the trademark event with the highest size, the largest scale and the most influence, the theme of CTF 2015 is to “implement the trademark strategy, and develop brand economy”. And it is composed of 2015 China Trademark Annual Meeting, China Brand Expo and a series of theme activities, with rich content and lively and varied form.

 

On the morning of October 17, 2015, the 2nd China Brand Economy Summit Forum was successfully held as an important part of CTF 2015. The summit forum revolved around the theme of "Credibility, Innovation, Rule of Law." Some officials and experts delivered speeches at the forum, including Liu Junchen, Vice Director of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce; Li Guoliang, Deputy Governor of Hainan Province; David Muls, Senior Director of the Madrid Registry of the World Intellectual Property Organization; Jin Kesheng, Deputy Presiding Judge of the Third Civil Court of the Supreme People's Court; Chen Kai, Director of the Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau of Hainan Province; and Ding Junjie, a professor at the Communication University of China. As a platform where leaders from the trademark community may hold dialogs, the summit forum allowed a number of guests to give speeches that would promote the development of the trademark-based economy and help businesses grasp opportunities to foster innovation, advance the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, and implement their intellectual property (IP) strategy, thereby offering businesses valuable advice on how to drive the growth of their business by cultivating their brands.

And just as the summit forum kicked off, so did the China Brand Expo as an important part of CTF 2015. ".SHANGBIAO" Domain Registry set up a special exhibition stand manned by a team of highly capable professionals in Hall C of the exhibition center. During the opening ceremony of CTF 2015, the exhibition stand of ".SHANGBIAO" Domain Registry attracted the attention of many officials when they went on a tour of the exhibition site thanks to its unique innovativeness in IP rights affairs. Moreover, many trademark-conscious businesses and IP service agencies showed a great interest in ".SHANGBIAO" Domain Registry as a top level domain on the Internet.
